WiFi Signals Filter

WiFi signals filter facilitates easier focus in screens where multiple signals are shown.

The WiFi filter enables showing only desired WiFi signals (filtered by multiple criteria) while hiding (or dimming) all other signals.

The filter is global - once set, it will be applied to all screens that use it, and will keep even after app restart.

The filter controls also the sorting order when displaying multiple signals.

Please note that the WiFi Signals Filter is a user interface feature. It will only impact screens that support this feature (e.g., WiFi Networks, WiFi Channels). However, it will not impact functionality such as Speed Testing, Handover Analysis or PCAP sessions logging.

Settings

In Settings ► Screen Specific Settings ► WiFi Networks and Signals ► Filtering & Sorting

Sorting Order

Sort by: Signal strength RSSI (high to low), Name (A to Z or Z to A), Beacon frequency (low to high or high to low), Associated clients (many to few), Supported Phy speeds (low to high or high to low)
Associated signal always first: if enabled, the associated network or signal will always be show at the top of the list regardless of sorting order

Filtering

Behavior:

Filtering behavior: highlight filtered signals (and dim all others), show only filtered signals

Criteria:

SSID pattern (case insensitive; use '*' to denote any sequence of characters, including an empty sequence; use '?' to denote any single character)
BSSID pattern (case insensitive; use '*' to denote any sequence of characters, including an empty sequence; use '?' to denote any single character)
AP name pattern (case insensitive; use '*' to denote any sequence of characters, including an empty sequence; use '?' to denote any single character)
RSSI range (dBm)
Minimum basic rate range (Mbps)
Channel width (MHz)
Primary (beacon) in spectrum band
Primary (beacon) channel frequency in range (MHz)
Using any frequency in range (MHz)
