UDP Echo Test Validation Step

The UDP Echo Test step is used to validate the stability and performance bidirectional packet delivery against a UDP echo server over the connection.

This step will report - in additional to packet stats - a calculated estimated MOS (according to the ITU-T G.107 E-model).

analiti includes an embedded UDP Echo server that can be used as a target, but any server that will echo received UDP packets (at the configured port) could be used.

Step Settings

  • Use VPN network (when VPN is active): if enabled, will use the VPN connection (if one is active). Otherwise - will use the the underlying connection
  • UDP Echo server: IP address or name
  • Port
  • Duration of the test in seconds
  • Packet payload size in bytes
  • Packets per second transmit rate
  • Warn if response success is below X %
  • Fail if response success is below X %
  • Warn if rtt median is above X ms
  • Fail if rtt median is above X ms
  • Warn if rtt jitter is above X ms
  • Fail if rtt jitter is above X ms
